Warranty Information
Bicycle Lifespan
Fission Cycles™ eBikes have an expected lifespan depending on the level of care and/or use. Misuse, neglect, and abuse will significantly reduce the expected lifespan of your bike. Some types of riding styles – competition, jumping, downhill racing, and extreme conditions or climates – will all impact the lifespan of your bike and its components. These types of riding may cause premature failure of your bike and its components. This warranty does not extend to any failures associated with this type of riding, or to any Fission products that have been subject to misuse, neglect, abuse, or improper storage, or if the product is modified or altered in any way other than as directed by official Fission Cycles™ instructions. Always have your bike periodically inspected by a qualified bicycle technician. These inspections are crucial for the safety of you and others around you as well as extending the lifespan of your Fission eBike.
Warranty
Beyond the lifetime frame warranty, Fission Cycles™ warrants all bikes, enclosed hardware (where applicable), and accessories to be free from defects in material and workmanship for twenty-four months from the original date of purchase. Some components on your Fission eBike such as brakes, tires, tubes, chains, grips, motors, and cables are not warranted against normal wear. If you find a product to be defective, contact Fission Cycles™ through the official website (www.fissioncyles.com). All components must be returned at the owner’s expense for inspection. Product repairs and/or updates not covered by warranty will be provided at a set rate. At its sole discretion, Fission will determine whether the component will be covered under this warranty. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied. You may have certain legal rights that extend beyond this warranty in some states.
Limited Lifetime Frame Warranty
Fission eBike frames are warranted against factory defects for the lifetime of the original purchaser, as long as they remain the owner of the Fission eBike. This warranty is non-transferable. Your Fission frame is warranted against premature failure caused by faulty workmanship or materials, as determined by Fission Cycles. Frames must be returned to Fission Cycles at the owner’s expense for determination of defect and/or replacement. If a frame replacement is found to be warranted by Fission Cycles, a comparable frame (depending on availability) will be issued to the original purchaser. Front forks and suspension forks do not have a lifetime warranty.
Terms and Conditions of this Limited Warranty
This limited warranty does not cover installation, disassembly, adjustments of components, normal wear and tear, damage caused by improperly installed parts or components, installation, and use of aftermarket accessories or storage fees. Any installation of a powerplant (motor electric or internal combustion) other than powerplants supplies directly by Fission Cycles™ immediately voids this warranty. Some parts and components may from time to time become obsolete or discontinued. Fission Cycles™ reserves the right to substitute any component at its sole discretion. This is the only warranty provided or honored by Fission Cycles™, and no other warranty will be honored unless specifically provided for by law. No implication of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose has been made by Fission Cycles.
How To Handle Warranty Claims
Fission Cycles™ will cover labor and parts within the 30-day period after purchase. Our credit for labor is based on a standard fee schedule for bike repairs and could be higher or lower than the cost at your local bike shop. You must wait for us to ship warrantied component rather than replacing on your own. Please allow 1-3 weeks for shipping replacement components. It is the owner’s responsibility to immediately inspect your bike on receipt, within 3 days. Freight Claims are time-sensitive. To quickly resolve the issue the owner must send an email with a photo and/or video if appropriate to Fission Cycles™. We will make any necessary repairs to remedy the situation.
After a 30-day free repair period, Fission Cycles™ will ship replacement parts within the year at no charge. The owner will be responsible for labor. Warranty parts will be shipped in the U.S. only at our cost. It will be necessary to send an email with a photo and or video as appropriate to info@fissioncycles.com so we diagnose any issue.
Fission Cycles™ reserves the right to make judgment determinations of proper use based on the evidence provided and may require additional photos and or videos of the item or issue in question.
If your product is shipped to you and arrives damaged, please contact us directly by phone or e-mail within 3 working days from the date of delivery. Please note that any damage caused by shipping is not covered by any warranty, however, a claim may be filed with the shipping company and we will work together to resolve damaged goods on arrival. Minor scratches to components don’t necessitate replacement or any refund, but for major aesthetic damage a credit may be issued, or replacement sent if the item is functionally damaged. We will not cover any damage caused when the owner sets up their own shipping option including using a freight forwarding or similar service.
Fission Cycles™ reserves the right to determine if the product has been operated in accordance with the products intended use and whether user error and or neglect is the cause of the product damage or failure. Fission Cycles™ may require video and photographic submissions to review each warranty claim.
This warranty shall be effective only if all the following conditions are met:
If the bike was purchased directly from Fissioncycles.com or one of our authorized retailers.
If you are the original and first owner of the bike (warranty is not transferable)
If the bike has followed all intended use purposes
If the electronics have not been repaired or modified.
If the bike was assembled or reviewed prior to use by a bike mechanic.
Damages resulting from the improper assembly are not covered by the warranty.
Rider and purchaser are 18 years of age or over and possess the legal capacity and authority to purchase and ride an eBike.
The maximum total weight of the rider including any cargo is at all times below 300 lbs.
